Crews ,o f . 3 00 -N a v) Ships Receive Gifts
Through Bnai Brith Serv-A-S hip Project

Crews of 300 fighting ships of the U: S. Navy, six of the Canadian Navy
and over 100 Navy gun crews or Merchant Marine vessels have received
from Bnai Brith's Serv-A-Ship program such items as "mechanical cows"
which provide fresh milk and ice cream; musical instruments, radios, etc.
1—Navy officers and leaders of Boston's Amos Lodge around the drum
contributed to the band of the USS Massachusetts. 2—Chaplain of USS
Baltimore receiving check for his crew from Bnai Brith Women of
Baltimore. 3—Commanders of new destroyer escorts being served by
Bnai Brith men and women of Texas receive games and magazine sub-
scriptions. 4—Captain of battleship Iowa voices thanks for gifts presented
to him at joint session of both houses of Iowa Legislature. 5—Officers and
crews of new LCI boats receive many gifts from Bnai Brith in N. Y. City.
6—Catholic, Protestant and Jewish Naval chaplains accept game kits and
specially designed radios from Bnai Brith in Virginia for crews of new
destroyer-escorts.

The Bnai Brith, now represented by thousands of men in the armed
forces, is one of the leading organizations contributing to the comfort of
our soldiers, sailors, marines at home and abroad. Jewish servicemen
attending Specialist Training Schools at the various colleges in the United
States, are always welcome at the Bnai Brith Hillel quarters, where they

may attend religious services and other special functions.
