Army, Send News of Liberation to Families Here Via NRS These refugees, shown in the courtyard of the internment center in Campagna, Italy, where they were liberated by the U. S. Army, are the heroic group who established a hospital to care for Italian civilians wounded by the Nazis. First word of their safety and whereabouts, after years of silence, is reaching their families In the U. S. through the National Refugee Service. As the Allied Armies advance, thousands of refugees will be rescued, word of their whereabouts can be brought to their families here, and eventual reunions become possible. In this major task of vic- tory, which will engage the U. S. and other governments and private agencies such as the Joint Distribution Committee, NRS will play an important part in the United States, with funds provided by the United Jewish appeal.
