Since her 14th\ birthday, she has been singing at disabled soldiers' affairs. She is also one of the featured singers at the LaSalle Club at Central High School. Mr. and Mrs. David I. Hubar of Huntington Woods left Dec. 16 to visit their son who is in the Army Air Corps. Aviation Student Alan Hubar is at Wofford College, Spartanburg, South Carolina. He will be stationed there until about the middle of January. Then he will go to Nashville, Tenn., which is a classification center. Alan had his basic training in Florida. He was graduated from Royal Oak High. School in June, 1943. Page Nine THE JEWISH NEWS Samuel Untermyer Bequeaths $100,000 to Hebrew University NEW YORK, (JTA)—The sum of $100,000 is bequeathed to the Hebrew University in Palestine in the will of Samuel Untermyer, the late Jewish leader, who died on March 16, 1.940, it was dis- closed here when a detailed list of his bequests was made public. Marriages Axelrod-Young: The marriage of Miss Mildren Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Young, and Robert Glenn Axelrod, son of Dr. and. Mrs. M. L. Axelrod, was performed on Dec. 19.
