THE LEAST WE CAN
DO FOR HIM-

Italy—Hanukah, 1943

In the heat of battle, with our advancing armies and our allies,

There is little time for holiday cheer ... little time for greetings.

The men are fighting, bleeding, dying that you and your family

may live in this world unafraid. These boys of ours are fighting

for the ideal of decency, for the hope of a brave new world

peace. The least you can do ... is to do MORE ... BUY

MORE WAR BONDS!

LET'S All BACK THE ATTACK

BUY 411 WAR BONDS

Our armies are going forward . but invasion comes high—in both
blood and money. Part of the cost must be paid in human life.
That means deep and lasting hurt for many American families.
by far the lower cost ...
Part of the cost must be paid in money
but that is the part you've got to pay for by LOANING the dollars
for the tanks and planes and guns!

No man or woman can hold back. No man or woman can point to
his payroll buying and say "They Don't Mean Me" . • . no one is

really - doing enough just so long as men are dying to defend us and
our way of life.

Sure—it'll be tough to dig up that extra money for extra War
Bonds. But we've got to do it and we will. We'll do it partly be-
cause it is the cheapest, easiest way out of this whole rotten busi-
ness of war. We'll do it partly because there is no finer, safer in-
vestment in the world. But, more importantly, we'll do it because
America needs the money . . . and America has been good to us.
