will honor Henrietta Szold's 84th
birthday at an Oneg Shabbat at

Ralph Davidson, former presi-

national board member of Ha-
dassah, who visited with Miss
Szold in Palestine, will be the
speaker.

Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Bernstein of 1476 Pingree Ave. will cele-4

brate their golden wedding anniversary at a family dinner at Lach-4

ar's, Sunday, Dec. 19. Married in Lodz, Poland, in 1893, Mr. ancT
Mrs. Bernstein resided in New York City for 13 years after coming,
to this Country in 1900. They have lived in Detroit since 1913. Two;
daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Feulner and Mrs. Hannah Levitt, anal

Sidney, lives in Buffalo. Mr. Bernstein is 72, and Mrs. Bernstein
70. They have seven grandchildren.

Pfc. Jack Masten is on furlough from Camp Flora, Miss.
S/Sgt. Max Yost is spending his furlough with his parents, Mr.,'
and Mrs. M. Yost of Leslie Ave.. He is stationed at Camp Maxey.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Simons are spending the week-end iii

Capt. Max Gordon Aiken spent a 10-day leave from his statiomi

Sgt. Sherman S. Schwartz, who is stationed at Fort Sheridan,
Ill., was home for the week-end visiting with Mrs. Schwartz and

Mrs. Clarence H. Enggass left on Friday to meet her son, Robert,.
in New York. They will return about Dec. 25.

Mrs. Carl H. Shalit of the Wilshire Hotel has returned from
New York City after a two week stay at Hotel Warwick. While
there she visited with her brother, M/Sgt. Samuel Griesman, who
is stationed at Farmingdale, L. I.
Miss Nettie Cohen of New York City arrived in Detroit Wed-
nesday, to spend several weeks with her family. While here she will
reside with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C.
