ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY
Rabbi Leon Fram opened the first annual exhibit of the Windsor
Art Association, Thursday night, Dec. 2, with a lecture on "The
Jewish Contribution to Art."
Captain and Mrs. S. M. Gingold of Camp Hood, Tex., spent
several days last week with their mother, Mrs. Joseph H. Ehrlich of
the Belcrest.
Mrs. H. Sherman of Ilene Ave. has left to join her husband,
Pvt. H. Sherman, who is stationed at Camp Lee, Va.
Mrs. Samuel Salomon of Rogus City was a guest in the city
this week.
Mrs. A. Baron of Louisville, Ky., is the guest of Mrs. H. Vidro
of Taylor Ave.

Mrs. E. Rosin of Cleveland has returned home after spending
a week with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Glazer of Tyler Ave.
Mrs. Morris Zack of Atkinson Ave. left on Dec. 1 to spend the
winter in Hot Springs, Ark.
Ensign and Mrs. Jacob Keidan have left for Noroton, Conn.,
where Ensign Keidan is stationed. While in the city they were the
guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Keidan and Mr. and
Mrs. I. Shetzer.
Mrs. Benjamin Stamell and her daughter, Judith, of Calvert
Ave. are leaving for Pamona. Calif., to join Capt. Stamell who is
stationed there with the 34th General Hospital. Mrs. Stamell's
mother, Mrs. Dora Platt, accompanied them.
Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Tunis of Toronto are the guests of
their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aller of
Baylis Ave.
•Miss Ruth Weiner spent the week-end with her sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Levine of Fullerton Ave.
- Mrs. Richard Cott of Chicago Blvd. returned on Dec. 4 from_
a month's stay at Hot Springs, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Levin have moved from Cambridge Rd. and
are now residing at 18662 Muirland Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Einstein of the Lee Plaza Apts. have
returned from a month's stay in California.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Brody, formerly of Taylor Ave., are now
residing in Los Angeles.
Miss Harriet Simon of Duluth, Minn. is visiting friends in
this city.
Dr. and Mrs. Martin Weisberg of California Ava. have re-
turned from Asheville, N. C., where they were the guests of Capt.
and Mrs. Daniel COhn.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Lappin are now residing at 2454 Boston Blvd.
Mrs. Joshua Karbal of Webb Ave. spent two weeks in Toronto
as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Totenberg and was entertained
by relatives and friends.

of relatives and friends at the Book Casino on Nov. 28.
Mrs. Mitchell A. Markle (Dorothy Holtzman) and -son, Sheldon,
have left to join Lt. Markle at Camp Gordon, Georgia. They will
reside in Augusta, Ga.
Mrs. Kurt Peiser of Philadelphia has been spending a fortnight
with Mr. and Mrs. Irving Oberfelder of Canterbury Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Cohn of Fairfield Ave. are leaving for a
month's stay in Hot Springs, Ark
Mrs. Bernard Bladin of Glynn Court is visiting her cousins, Mr.
and Mrs. Milton Epstein of Long Island.
Miss Mary Freshel of Milwaukee, Wis., has returned to her
studies at Oberlin College, after spending the last week-end with
Miss Sally Brown of Lucerne Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. T. Solomon have moved from Longfellow Ave.
and are now residing at 1150 Burlingame Ave.
Lt. (s. g.) • Allen H. Kline has been transferred from Camp
Peary, Va., and is now stationed in Providence, R. I. He is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kline of Cortland Ave.
• Lt. Samuel Joseph Fauman is spending his leave with his
parents, Dr. and Mrs. David H. Fauman of 3200 W. Boston Blvd.
Lt. Fauman is stationed at Fort Monmouth, N. J.
Cadet Alfred B. Ruskin has returned to Ames, Ia., after spend-
ing a few days with his father, Dr. I. Ruskin.
Miss Sophie Stoilman of New Brunswick, N. J., is a guest in
Detroit for a month's stay.
