Flint JNF Project
Is a Huge Success

The Jewish National Fund
Council of Flint, of which George
Litt is president, announces that
the sum of $3,100 has been raised
in a period of nine months for
Nachlat Flint — the community's
project to establish a colony in
the city's name in Palestine.
Mr. Litt expressed confidence
that a total sum of $10,000 will be
raised for the project in less than
18 months, in addition to the tra-
ditional collections for the fund,
which bring in about $1,800
yearly.
At the Bar Mitzvah of Milton
Rosenbaum, son of Mr. and Mrs.
George Rosenbaum, on Nov. 5,
the sum of $500 was raised for
the Jewish National Fund proj-
ect. It is announced that every
Bar Mitzvah 'celebration at Con-
gregation Beth Israel has been
utilized for the gathering of
funds for the J. N. F. This week,
Mr. and Mrs. David Scheffer do-
nated $50 in honor of the Bar
Mitzvah of their son, Wayne.
Besides Mr. Litt, officers of the
Flint J. N. F. Council include the
following: Mrs. Morris Gold,
vice-president; Mrs. Louis Leb-
ster, secretary; Miss Aliza Gali,
corresponding secretary; Nathan
Finkelstein, treasurer. Nachlat

Mrs. Maurice A. Enggass
Dies On 45th Birthday

Mrs. Maurice A. Enggass of
19365 Cumberland Rd., the wife
of the secretary-treasurer of Eng-
gass Jewelry Co., died on Satur-
day, Nov. 13, on her 45th birth-
day, after an illness of several
months.
Dr. B. Benedict Glazer offici-
ated at the funeral service on
Monday morning, at William R.
Hamilton Co. chapel.
Mrs. Enggass is survived, be-
sides her husband, by two chil-
dren, Peter and Barbara; her
father, Sampson Schoenbrun, and
a brother, Leo Schoenbrun of
Los Angeles. Her mother was
the late Frieda E. Schoeleorun.
A native of Chicago, Mrs. Eng-
gass, the former Helen Schoen-
brun, lived in Chicago before her
marriage 21 years ago. She was
a member of Gray Ladies, the
volunteer organization of nurses'
assistants who are rendering
service in hospitals because of
the shortage of nurses; Temple
Beth El and the Council of Jew-
ish Women.
