Nov. 11, at the home of Miss

Toys contributed by club mem-
bers for an indigent child were
collected. Members volunteered
to answer the call for club lead-
ers to guide younger organiza-
tions. Miss Betty Warhull of
Wayne Readers Bureau read Og-
den Nash's poem "To a Small
Boy Standing on My Shoes, While
I'm Wearing Them," a chapter of
William Saroyan's book "My
Name Is Aram" and a scene from
the play "Happy Days" by Oc-
tava Roberts. The next meeting
will be held Nov. 22, at the home
of Miss Florence Naimark, 3241

Home Relief Society will meet
at 1 P. M. on Monday, Nov. 29,
in the conference room of the
Jewish Community Center. The
society will cooperate in the na-
tional drive for clothing, and
the next meeting will be in the
form of a bundle tea. Members
are urged to bring boxes or
packages of clothes. A dessert
luncheon will precede the met-
ing and there will be a book
review. Mrs. Harry M. Shulman
was appointed chairman of a
special committee to arrange for
sending Hanukah gifts to rela-
tives of the society's members
who are in the service.

nounces that clothes are now
being collected for European
and North African' Relief. The
collection station at 8444 Lin-
wood Ave., in the Oriole The-
ater Building, Linwood and. Eu-
clid, is open every afternoon, 1
to 8, Monday through Friday,
and 7 to 9 p. m. Monday a n d
Thursday. Zone stations are lo-

The marriage of Miss Rose H.
Chapnick, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Chapnick of Webb
Ave., and Staff. Sergeant Nor-
man A. Broder, son of Mr.. and
Mrs. Louis Broder of Linwood
Ave., was performed on Oct. 31
at Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
before an altar covered with
chrysanthemums and carnations,
with white candles and candel-
abra.

The bride was gowned in ivory
faille in the Colonial mode, fitted
bodice and hoop skirt. A cap of
Rose Pointe Lace held in place
her veil of bridal allusion. She
carried a white prayer book
adorned with orchids. She was
attended by her cousin, Dorothy
Chapnick of Toronto, Beatrice
Fox and Frances Ginsburg.
Mrs. Louis Pleason, sister of
the groom, was matron-of-honor.
Miss Helene Muskovitz, niece of
the bride, was maid-of-honor.
Louis Pleason was best man.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Chapnick wore a gown of
ivory crepe. 'Mrs. Broder was
gowned in dubena lace. Both
wore orchids.
A dinner for the guests fol-
lowed the ceremony.
The couple left for Memphis,
Tenn., where Staff Sergeant Bro-
der is stationed.

Hershman-Miller: The marri-
age of Miss Edith Miller, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Miller
of Calvert Ave., to Sgt. Tech-
nician David S. Hershman, son
of Dr. and Mrs. A. M. Hershman
took place Nov. 11, at the home
of the bride's parents.
The bridegroom's father per-
formed the ceremony which
was attended by the immediate
families. He was assisted by
Rabbi Morris Adler and Cantor
Jacob Sonenklar.
The out of town guests includ-
ed the bride's uncle, Max Miller,
and his daughter, Miss Lillian
Miller of Chicago; the bride-
groom's sisters, Misses Ruth and
Eiga Hershman of New York, and
his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs.
Hyman. Lewin-Epstein of Brok-
lyn, N. Y.
Sgt. Tech. Hershman is sta-
tioned at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
