An interesting feature at this
meeting will be the presentation
of the "USO Song;" which was
arranged by Seymour Simons.
The Jewish War Veterans will
participate in the program by
presenting the Colors. A military
band will provide the music for
the occasion and the National
Anthem will be sung under the
leadership of a prominent soloist.

his discharge to his refusal to

Dr. McMahon is vice-chair-
man of the Arherican. Commit-
tee to save the Jewish Peoples
of Europe and a sponsor of

Mann Asks International
Army Rule of Germany
CHICAGO (JPS) — Speaking
before the convention of the
National Council of Jewish Wo-
men, Thomas Mann, exiled au-
thor from Germany and Nobel
prize-winner, declared that the
German people already realize
that the war is lost and advo-
cated the formation of an in-
ternational army . to guard
against persecution of racial
groups. He predicted that Hit-
ler would be murdered and a
German revolution would take
place in a year.
Lugones, notorious Jew-baiter
and pro-Nazi aide to President
Ramirez, recently appointed as
personal aide to President _Ram-
irez, will be charged with es-
- tablishing in Argentina a po-
litical secret police along the
lines of the Nazi Gestapo, dem-

award of nearly $25,000 awaits
the person who writes the best
book, poem, play or essay relat-
ing to Judaism, and a similar
award will be given to the per-
son performing the greatest deed
on behalf of the Jewish people
under the terms of the will of
Solomon Bublick, who died last
month, leaving an estate valued
at $4,500 in real estate and $50,-
000 in personal property. -
