The orchestra, under the lead-
ership of Carl Bamberger of New
York's New Opera Co., was
drawn from the roster of the De-
troit Symphony orchestra. Ruth
Murray's Wayne University Dance
Group and the Friends of Opera
Chorus, Arthur Gnau, conductor,
both contributed greatly to the
success of the performance.
The Congress has secured the
talents of Henri Goldberg for the
musical portion of this program.
Mr. Goldberg comes from Berlin
where he was• both cantor and
concert singer. He has an exten-
sive repertoire and is at present
the director of the Liberty
Choral Society. Mrs. Rosa Bassin
Stein will accompany him.
Other singers in the cast were
Margit Kormandy, contralto; Dor-
othea Oehinke and Rosina Bet-
man, sopranos; Cyril Wezemael,
George McLeod and Williath.
