War Worker's Hostesses-
Hold Social Next Sunday
The War Workers' Hostesses
are planning their next social on
Sunday, from "4:00 to 6:00 p.m.,
at the Jewish Community
Center. Miss Florence Wilkins,
chairman of the Entertainment
Committee, has directed mem-
bers in a skit which will be pre-
sented at this party.
The latest dance records will
be used, and Butzel Hall will be
decorated in cabaret style. Re-
freshments will be served. War
Workers and their friends are
invited to attend these weekly
socials.

New Health Services
On Center's. Program
In response to a large demand
from the membership of the
Jewish ConirnunitY' Center, new
health services have been added
to. the existing program on Tues-
day and Thursday evenings from
7:00 to 10:30 p.m. • •
The new services will include
the electric heat, cabinet, ultra-.
violet ray lamp and a half . hour
massage, and will be available
for Sub-Senior, Senior , a n d
Adult women.

Dance Group Auditions

Applications Taken

Applications for auditions for
the Dance Group of the Jewish
CoMmunity Center are being
taken. The Dance Group creates
and performs its own composi-
tions, and this year will plan to
give recitals f o r community
groups as well as Center audi-
ences.
Men an.d,women are needed in
the performing group. Miss
Edith Muskin, director, Women's
Health Education, said previous
training is necessary for admit-
tance. Applicants should apply

which this year will appear as a

headed by Mrs. Hobart D. Hoyt.
District A, bounded by the De-
troit River, W. Grand Blvd. and
Woodward Ave., and District D,
bounded by the Highland Park
city limits, McNichols Road,
Woodward Ave. and LiVernois
Ave., are among the five districts
under the supervision of Mrs. H.
C. Broder, who serves as MrS.
Hoyt's vice-chairman in charge
of the city's west-central terri-
tory.
47 Zone Captains
Subdivided into census tract
zones, District . A, has 47 zone
captains in charge of block work-
ers and District D has 94
captains.
In their door-to-door canvass
the block workers will empha-
size an appeal to the housewives
to make individual contributions
to the War Chest this year.
"If we can persuade every
woman in Detroit to make an
individual gift, in her own name,
over ' and 'above the amount her
husband contributes," Mrs. Bro-
der said, "women's gifts can

buiy, heading the Treasury Gifts
Committee; Moses L. Walker, in
charge of solicitation of the Ur-
ban League, and Harry Turrell,

The Metropolitan Unit is one
of the four major units of the
War Chest campaign set-up. The
others are Advance Gifts, Com-
merce and General and Indus-
trial. It is expected that 20,000
volunteers will be working in all
the divisions of the drive:
