Jewish Organizations Enlist in 1944 War Chest Drive

1, Vciftg,

The War Chest Campaign was launched officially by the Jew-
ish organizations of Detroit at a conference at the Jewish Home for
Aged last Sunday morning.
Fred M. Butzel, vice-president of the 1944 War Chest cam-
paign, is shown addressing the representatives of organizations who

gathered at this meeting to pledge increased support to the great
humanitarian drive for $8,250,000, to be conducted from Nov. 1
to 16. The 55 overseas, national and local causes of the Allied
Jewish Campaign are included in the War Chest quota. Other
photographs of this gathering on Pages 5 and 7.
