At the opening meeting of the
year of the Sisterhood of Tem-
ple Israel, held Oct. 11 at the
Detroit Institute of Arts, Mrs.
David Ruby, vice-president in
charge of membership, announc-
ed that a member-bring-a-mem-
ber luncheonette will be held at
the home of the president, Mrs.
Samuel B. Danto, at 1 p. m. on
Nov..3.
The monthly meeting of the
Sisterhood will be held Nov. 8
at the Detroit Institute of Arts,
in the forM of a paid-up mem-
bership meeting. The speaker at
that time will be Mrs. Lauren-
tine B. Collins, child psycholo-
gist of the Board of Education.
Mrs, Samuel Blacher, financial
secretary, announces that 15 new
members enrolled at the October
meeting.
Mrs. Maxwell Emmer, war ef-
forts chairman, reported on the
organization's Red Cross USO
and salvage work. The War Bond
chairman, Mrs. Randolph Weber,
said that Bonds and Stamps will
be on sale at all meetings.
Mrs. David Levy was chosen
co-chairman of the clerical com-
mittee.
