S bthat a o TAt1611 By Danny Raskin It was a grand picture watch- ing and listening to Dave Rosin, president of Louis Marshall Lodge, as he stood on a soap box downtown, last Wednesday, promoting the sales of WAR BONDS. He knew what he was talking about and so did all the people who signed up! It is our WAR BONDS that are giving - Capt. Martin Alex- ander the medical supplies hei needs to relieve • our wounded in Sicily. • The money we loan Uncle Sam is buying the bombs F/O Bobby Shan must have to blast the Japs off the map. Our bonds are sending, across the Atlantic, the materials and tools to help Sgt. Sam Wander build bridges for our men and machines to cross on. By backing the attack, we are making sure that Cpl. Joe Hoot- ner, in Africa, is receiving badly needed laboratory equipment and chemicals to keep our boys well. Our bonds are giving Machin- ist Mate Harry Weinstein a chance to say, "Our sub sank same." If Marine P.F.C. Jay Handels- man were still in town, he would tell yob, as he told us, how much the sale of WAR BONDS meant to him and his buddies on Guadalcanal. The WAR BONDS we buy are giving these and all the boys a - chance to come back-- alive! A chance to come back to the same kind of America\ they left behind. And what does it gives us? It gives us the right to enjoy liberty and freedom- to maintain it with security! r iatioa Caact Ber . 11,03111 visitea the -xa sT , . , f . c . e i . AT THIS WRITING, Detroit is below her quota - something which hasn't happened to us, yet. The month isn't over, though, and neither is our bond buying! Detroit has always been known as the City of Champions .-LET'S KEEP THAT NAME! -4:..44, e s9.0.,.. :: ::„. „ : ::lc 1°Cv: :;:t::f:; ki:"C1 -'e f 9 : ':'he f :::::; ::A9:1:1::e6.4:1:4 t:::e.: 49 4j : . 1 ::::: e :::7 a:;::::alt : l t f etae e::s:ie2:::1°3: ' -P)" . 2 ::::e.;!r : ' r .iltra A s : ; r::ra TGI:eli .'e a s w :tc.:eVI : a;t:4._s:at:t:::::;:s°r:'stYPeil . . b ::)b . ,; 4, . : ::4 1 4 : 4 " 4. , . 3 . 1 :i , 1 a i ' ra n cg. r ' r y el sinta ::::e:y i, x i , iee . t l , i a 7: : 1_ 6 : le'.1 4 1; i°:- 46. ::-?:::' . : crtr,.
