appearing at the J. L. Hudson

The show, being held in con-
junction with the Four Free-
doms War Bond Show, spon-
sored jointly by the U. S.
Treasury Dept. and the Satur-
day Evening Post, started Mon-
day, Sept. 27 and will end on
Saturday, Oct. 9.
"The Four Freedoms Show is
on a nation-wide tour and cen-
ters around the originals of
the Four Freedoms paintings by
Norman Rockwell. Its two-fold
purpose is to acquaint Americans
with the full patriotic force and
significance of the famous Rock-
Rockwell Paintings and to sell
War. Bonds.
Bond and Stamp buyers at the
show are invited to sign their
names to a "Freedom Scroll,"
which will be presented to
President Roosevelt when the
tour ends.
The Mizrachi News Bulletin
for the month of October, edited
by Dr. Aaron Rosmarin, contains
the latest important news from
Eretz Yisroel about the war ef-
fort in Palestine, refugee chil-
dren, new settlements, Jewish
National Fund activities, com-
merce, finance, industry, literary

spas, population, Merchant Ma-
rine, etc., all mirroring Jewish
life in the Yishuv.

support for "his latest creation,
the Republican Nationalist Par-
ty," Edward James Smythe, one
of 33 persons under indictment
in Washington for sedition, em-
ploys the device of discrediting
Jewish officials in the Adminis-
tration, according to the New
York Post. Avoiding "direct anti-
Semitigm," Smythe links the
Jewish officials with the Com-
munists, it is stated.
Smythe has "elected himself
national chairman" of the party
and is distributing leaflets nom-
inating Col. Robert R. McCor-
mick for president in 1944.

slightest justification when a culprit or wrong-doer
