Detroit. Going in, Sheldon asked
one if he was a Detroiter. The
Officer said yes, and Sheldon said
that he also lived there, and
asked what part he was from:
"Oh," said the officer, "I used
to hang around. Briggs , Stadium

Sheldon, "sell peanuts?"
"No," he replied dryly, "my

Lazarus Rosenthal, 746 Coiling-
wood Ave., died Monday after
a brief illness. Funeral services
were held Wednesday at Lewis
Bros. Born in 1874 in Syracuse,
he was in the merchandising
business in Mantisque for 30
years until 1927, when he retired
and made his home in Detroit
with his daughter, Mrs. Sidney
Imerman. His wife, the former
Ray Blumrosen. died 10 years
ago. Besides his daughter he is
survived by a son, Samuel R., a
Chicago attorney.

Julius Zarankin, aged 24, died
Sept. 4. Services were held Sun-
day at Chesed Shel Ernes, Rabbi
Morris Adler officiating. He is
survived by his wife, Zelda;
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Za-

serman, and a brother, Harry.
