Hadassah Feeds School Children

Women's Clubs

Neugarten Sunshine Club's
war efforts committee function-
ed during the entire summer.
Mrs. Benjamin Krell Jr. and her
committee acted as hostesses at
the Downtown USO, served
sandwiches and coffee and fur-
nished material for 100 service
kits. Members are active as
Nurses Aides, in the Motor
Corps, Canteen Service, as cleri-
cal workers and in other capaci-
ties aiding the war effort. War
Bonds and Stamps will be on
sale at all meetings.

evening at the home of Mrs.
Rose Miller, 18656 Pennington
Drive.

Workmen's Circle Red Cross
Unit will begin its Fall season
Monday with a luncheon in the
Educational Center, 11529 Lin-
wood. Proceeds will go for the
Red Cross. Rose Berman is
chairman of the Unit. Julia So-
kolov and Anna Cole are co-
chairmen.

Detroit J. W. B. Project Has
Support of Many Wom-
en's Organizations

Official notification of the ar-
rival in Hawaii of the first ship-
ment of supplies sent from De-
troit . was received this week by
Mrs. Henry Meyers, chairman of
the Detroit Women's Division of
the Jewish Welfare Board which
is sponsoring the Serv-a-Camp in
Hawaii.
Through this project, the Ha-
waiian camp is provided with
such necessities as tooth paste
and brushes, phonograph records,
pocket mirrors, toilet articles and
other articles which are unob-
tainable by soldiers in the local
communities.
The gifts are distributed on a
non-sectarian basis.
Local organizations which has
thus far contributed to Detroit's
project in Hawaii include: Shaa-
rey Zedek and Temple Beth El
Sisterhoods, Ladies' Auxiliary of
Jewish National Fund, League of
National Home for Jewish Chil-
dren at Denver, Hadassah, Aescu-
lapian's Society's Women's Aux-
iliary, Council of Pioneer Wom-
en, Home Relief Society, Prim-
rose Society, Hebrew Ladies' Aid
Society, Infants Service Group,
Young Women's Bicur Cholem,
Neugarten Sunshine Club.
Organizations and individuals
desiring to participate in this
project by making contributions
are asked to call Mrs. Henry
Meyers, 1683 Lincolnshire Drive,

All the national Jewish worn-
en's organizations are cooperat-
ing with the Women's Division
of the Jewish Welfare Board in
sponsoring the Serv-a-Camp
