Solomon Zemon deprives the
Congregation of a most valu-
able member and ardent work-
er. Through all the years of
his connection with the Syna-
gogue, he- .was a constant and
faithful attendant at its serv-
ices. For many years he was a
member of the Board of
Trustees, serving the Congre-
gation with devotion, earnest-
ness, and ability. One of his
notable achievements was the
establishment of the Library
of the Congregation—perhaps
the largest Congregational li-
brary in the country. His un-
ceasing efforts and zeal con-
tributed much towards the
growth and development of
the Synagogue.
"Inforthed by the spirit of
the Synagogue, DaVid Solo-
mon Zemon was active in all
worthwhile communal institu-
tions. In fact, there is no cause
in the community, educational
or philanthropic, with which
his name was not associated.
"David Solomon Zemon will
be missed by the Congrega-
tion. His work, however, will
abide.
"May the Source of all con-
solation send His heavenly
comfort to the bereaved fam-
ily."
