Repeating a Service to Our Readers

We are repeating this service this year. The
only condition we make is that the person in-
serting the greeting to his friends should be a
paid subscribed to The Jewish News.
During the months to come, The Jewish
News, the only Jewish periodical subscribing to
every Jewish news and feature service, will
continue to publish all the Jewish news, trans-
piring locally, in the western hemisphere and
throughout the world.

THE JEWISH NEWS has earned a place in
English-Jewish journalism as a pioneer in elim-
inating commercialization of Jewish Holy Days.
As part of many services we give to our
readers, we introduced the practice last year of
publishing the NeW Year greetings inserted by
our readers without charge. The Jewish News is
the only Jewish periodical in America that
published these greetings as a free service to
its readers.

sion since the first day of the Zionist Congress,

to 87, voted to approve the proposal • to have the
Zionist Organization draw in outside forces willing
to help in the upbuilding of a Jewish Palestine.
MOSCOW—The Commission supervising. the

fight would be conducted against the proposed
selective immigration proposals now being urged
in many quarters was made by Louis • Marshall in
an interview here.
• NEW YORK—The Jewish Telegraphic Agency
made public the Rosh Hashanah greetings message
of President Calvin Coolidge to American Jewry.
"The Jewish New Year," President Coolidge wrote,
"is always a reminder of the debt which the
modern world owes to the Jewish people and their
wonderful national culture. The occasion is one of
significance, not merely to the people of the Jewish
faith and race, but to all who are inheritors of some
part of the splendid estate of leadership, spirituality
and the service which they have given to the
world for the common advantage."
