Organizations Help Warr Effort,
Aid JewishNews Cigarette Fund
Leaders in local organizations this week displayed deep interest in the cig-
arette fund for servicemen overseas, sponsored by The Jewish News.
Several large contributions were presented last week to this fund and were
received in behalf of The Jewish News by Sgt. Frank Upton of the U. S. Marine
Corps, who is stationed at the Federal - Bldg., Detroit. Sgt. Upton expressed the
thanks of servicemen here to The Jewish News project, and also took occasion
thank the USO for their efforts in behalf of servicemen at home.

contributions are acknowledged in the article on Page 12 of this issue. They are,
