Fred M. Butzel has been certified as one of Detroit's
delegates to the American Jewish Conference, after the
national board of elections ruled on Tuesday that Detroit
should have 10 delegates instead of the original nine.
News of Mr. Butzel's certification as a delegate was
received Tuesday by Abraham Srere,. chairman of the Detroit
election committee.

Detroit's List of Delegates
By granting Detroit a tenth delegate, the local delegation
now includes the following: Morris Schaver, Dr.. B. Benedict Glazer,
Rabbi Morris Adler, Rabbi Max J. Wohlgeiernter, Rabbi Leon Fram,
Daniel Temchin, Aaron Rosenberg, Aaron Droock, Mrs. Joseph H.
Ehrlich and Fred M. Butzel.
Michigan'. 3 11th delegate, representing the rest of the state,
is Rabbi :Jerome D. Folkman of Grand Rapids.
Mr. Butzel's certification was decided upon because he was
one of the 10 candidates who polled the highest number of votes
in the local election on June 15.

The appeal that Detroit be granted 10 instead of nine delegates
was made by the following organizations and their presidents:
