Women's Organization has decided to dedi- cate the Vocational School for Girls in Tel-Aviv to the mem- ory of the two heroic chalutzoth (women pioneers), 29-year- old Zivia Lubetkin and 25-year-old Tosia Altman, who gave their lives in the defense of the Warsaw Ghetto. The Vocational School at Ramath Gan, Tel-Aviv, is being built with funds supplied by the Pioneer Women of America Betrothed 4 through its sister organization in. Palestine, the Working Women's Council. Many legends have been woven around the lives of these two women who served as intermedi- aries between the various sec- tions of the Zionist youth move- ment i_n Poland. Working con- stantly under the shadow of death, they secretly entered and left various ghettos, penetrating into every corner inhabited by Zionist youth in the pursuit of their mission, and they became known as the Joans of Arc of the underground Zionist pioneering movement in the ghetto. They remained at their posts to the very last moment, gallantly sacrificing their lives in the final desperate struggle of the Warsaw Ghetto.
