As Challenge to U. S Jewry
'We Must Mobilize All Our Spiritual Resources in the Same
Manner That We Prepare An Army,' He Tells Young
Israel Convention in New York
In an address before the convention of Young Israel,
held two weeks ago in New York, Rabbi Max J. Wohlge-
lernter referred to the race riots here as confronting us
with "a social scene similar to that which gave birth to the
Nazi party in Germany."
The only difference, Rabbi Wohlgelernter declared, is
that "in our case violence and mob reaction come 'from an
abundance of the good'."
