Weds in Florida

ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Feinberg of Leslie Ave. had as their guests
last week-end Mrs. Leah Cooper of Dayton, 0., Mr. and Mrs. J. J.
Lieberman of Columbus, 0., and Miss Florence Feinberg and Mrs.
A. Ginberg of Chicago.
Lt. (s. g.) Joseph G. Weiss has returned to his post in LaPorte,
Tex., after spending a few days with his brother and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Weiss of Buena Vista Ave. Mrs. Weiss and their
two children, Helen and Morris, will remain here a few weeks
longer.
Miss Ruth Dworman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Dwor-
man, will leave on June 15 for Mexico City where she will attend
the summer session at the National University of Mexico.
Complimenting Miss Blanche Fisher, whose marriage to Morris
Pollack will take place in the near future, Mrs. Harry Rosman,
Mrs. Adolph Deutch and Mrs. Morris Rosenberg gave a luncheon
and shower at the Book Cadillac Hotel last Monday.
Staff Sgt. Julian Myers left on Thursday for his post at Rice
Field, Calif., after a week's furlough spent with his aunts, the Misses
Solomon of Atkinson Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Fredland of Woodingham Dr. had as their
guests last week-end Mrs. Leon Rubin of E. Liverpool, 0., Mrs.
Milton Forstat of Rockville Centre, L. I., and Mr. and Mrs. D. F.
Young of New York City.
Honoring their daughter, Eunice's, consecration, Major and
Mrs. David A. Croll of 2203 Victoria Ave., Windsor, will be at
home on Sunday, June 20, from 3 to 11 p. rn.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Alexander of Calvert Ave. had as their
guests last week-end, Mr. and Mrs. I. Mallen of Cincinnati, Mr. and
Mrs. Moritz Kay of Cleveland and Ensign Libby Mallen, on leave
from her duties as a Navy nurse at the Great Lakes Naval Train-
ing Center. . •
Major Morton Hack returned to Sheppard Field, Texas, after a
short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Hack of 2750
Oakman Court.
Mrs. Kelly Kaufmann of Muskegon, Mich., spent the last week-
end in Detroit, visiting with relatives and friends.
Frank Boxman, Seaman 1st - Class, has returned to his post
in Virginia Beach following a week's furlough spent with his
father, Jacob Boxman of Webb Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben B. Berkman of Parkside Ave. had as their
guests last week-end Mr. and Mrs. Geofrey H. Himmelhoch of
Toledo. Mrs. Berkman's father, I. Dennison of Toronto, spent the
week with his children.
Emanuel G. Klein of Atkinson Ave. has left for Iowa City, Ia.,
where he is taking .a special course in Methods Engineering at the
University of Iowa.
Lt. and Mrs. Raymond- Conn are visiting with Mrs. Conn's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alter Shreir of Boston Blvd. Lt. Conn is on
10-day leave from his post at Camp Livingston, La.
Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Mandell of Cleveland, 0., spent the week-
end with Mrs. Mandell's brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs.
George Weiss of Broadstreet Ave.
Word has been received that Lt. Bernard Kaye, who is stationed
at Fort Sam Houston, is now -Capt. Kaye. He is the son of Mrs.
Bertha Kaye of West Philadelphia Ave.
Harry Greenberg of Los Angeles is spending a few months
as the guest of his children, Mr. and Mrs. Carol Reinheimer of
Boston Blvd., Mr. and Mrs. James Pollak of Boston Blvd: and
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel S. Greenberg of LaSalle Blvd.
Mrs. Ernest Steinberg of Los Angeles is spending a few weeks
as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Carol Reinheimer of Boston Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Nandor Simon of San Diego, Calif. are visiting
their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel S. Greenberg.
Mrs: - SarritierPerlriititter of Fullerton Ave. entertained
a group of their son Jack's friends at a party in their home last
Saturday evening. Jack is leaving on June 17 for Camp Custer.

Ladies' Auxiliary of the Jew-
ish National Fund will hold the
closing dessert luncheon meeting
of the season next Wednesday at
the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg. Wil-
liam Hordes, president of the
Jewish National Fund Council
of Detroit, will install Mrs. Philip
Cutler as president for a second
term. Miss Zelda Rosenthal will
give interpretations of Chaim.
Nachman Bialik's works. Miss
Shirley Zeft will sing and will be
accompanied by Lillian Robbins.
Mrs. Morris Robbins will be hos-
tess at the dessert luncheon.

Temple Israel in the auditorium of the Detroit Art Institute

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Elconan Henry Saulson of
San Antonio, Tex., formerly of
Detroit, is a graduate of the Uni-
versity of Michigan.
. The ceremony was performed
by Rabbi Jacob H. . Kaplan.
Attendant for the bride was
Miss Barbara Frances Saulson,
sister of the bridegroom. Ensign
Robert Lawrence Sprintz, United
States , Naval Reserve, the bride's
brother, was best man for Lt.
Saulson.
A wedding luncheon following
the ceremony was held at the
Versailles Hotel. Out of town
guests included the groom's par-
ents and his sister, and Private
and Mrs. Robert Luby of Detroit.
Lt. Saulson and his bride are
now living in Nashville, Tenn.
