her cousin's maid of honor, and
Pvt. Oscar Perlmutter of New
York served as best man.

young couple those attending the

eluded, there is every reason to
hope that the legal problems in-
volving the restoration of French
citizenship to native Algerian

A system of organizing. "Minyanim," groups of ten, is
being followed in the current campaign, to raise sums of
$240 or more each for the upkeep of one child a year.
Mrs. Frank Wetsman and Mrs. Ben Mossman are chairmen
of the "Minyamin."
Mrs. Ralph Davidson and Mrs. Harry L. Jackson are co-
chairmen of the joint drive. Mrs. Morris Adler is president
of the Detroit chapter of Hadassah.

Named as Director
Of Camp Chelsea

Camp Chelsea, for mothers,
and children 4 to 7 years old,
will reopen for the 1943 season
on Tuesday, July 6, according
to Mrs. Sidney J. Allen, chair-
man of the Mothers' Clubs ad-
visory council of the Jewish
Community Center.
Mrs. Clara Avrunin, well
known in Detroit and popular
in many Jewish circles, will be
the director. For many years Mrs.
Avrunin directed her camp-

She is an expert in camp man-
agement and is familiar with all
camp requirements of children
as well as adults, She will be
assisted by a fine staff including
excellent cooks, a nurse, coun-
sellors and maintenance staff.
The camp, located 20 miles
west of Ann Arbor, observes the
dietary laws.
The rates this season are: For
members of Mothers' Clubs of
the Jewish Community Center,
$16 per week, and for their chil-
dren, $12; for non-members, the
rate is $21 per week and for
children, $14. Registration may
be made for two or more weeks.
