Women's Clubs

Neugarten Sunshine Club's ex-
ecutive board, meeting at the
home of Mrs. Max Lebow, made
plans for a games party to be
held at the Bnai Moshe on June
16. Mrs. Samuel Rothstein is
chairman. The board approved
donations to the Serve-A-Camp
Project of the Jewish Welfare
Board and the Percy Jones Hos-
pital at Battle Creek. Under
the chairmanship of Mrs.
Charles Rothstein, plans are be-
ing made for the 1943 fund-
raising event. The next meeting
will be held on Monday at the
Fe.ieration of Women's Clubs, at
1:30 p. m. Games will follow
the meeting. The board will
meet at 11 a. in Monday.

Eva Prenzlauer Maternity Aid
will install new officers on June
1, at a meeting place to be an-
nounced. The next regular meet-
ing will be held June 15 at the
home of Mrs. Louis Alper, 16516
Ohio.

Tau Sigma Phi Sorority en-
listed Nancy Fay and Barbara
Goode as new members. New
officers are: Donna Carlson, pres-
ident; Arlene Gendelman, secre-
tary; Elaine Gerendasy, treas-

men's Auxiliary of Bnai Brith
will hold election of officers at
8:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Bnai
Moshe.

Infants Service Group will
hold annual election of officers
at.. the home of Mrs. M. Aronow,
12841 - Petcskey, on Monday ev-
ening. Thirty-six complete lay-
ettes were donated by the group
to the Russian Relief Fund.

Nu Chapter of Iota Alpha Pi,
national Jewish sorority, at
Wayne University, entertained
r.ew pledges on Saturday and
mothers of members on Sunday.
The Saturday night party was
held at the home of Joyce Sha-
rega on Parkside Ave. The
Mothers' Day luncheon was
held at the Wilshire, together
with the alumnae. Bertha Robin-
son was presented with a gold
cup for being the most descry-
in active alumnae. Mrs. Muriel
Goodman, alumnae president,
and Miss Evelyn Grass, presi-
dent of the actives, conducted
the program. Lillian Schlesinger
directed entertainment provided
by pledges.

The Sisterhood of Congrega-
tion Shaarey Zedek will elect
officers Monday, at 12:30 p. m.,
in the synagogue social hall. The
program will feature the Music
Study Club Choral, conducted by
Charles Frederic Morse, with
Rosa Bassin Stein at the piano.
Mrs. Morris H. Blumberg is in
charge of the Sisterhood's sale of
War Bonds and Stamps.

Progressive Ladies Understit-
zung. Verein will hold a Mothers'
and Daughters' bridge luncheon
at Kern's on Monday, at 12:30
p. m. There will be prizes for
the mothers with the most
daughters present. The presi-
dent, Mrs. H. Epstein, states that
this affair will close the season's

Ladies' Auxiliary of the Ga-
lician Society sponsored a Moth-
ers and Daughters dinner on May
11. Mrs. J. Nachwalter was
chairman. Mrs. R. Wauldron ap-
pealed for cigarets for service-
men and collected $25 from the
gathering. Mrs. Jean Stark is
president of the auxiliary.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C. Ben-
nett of Woodmere, L. I., an-
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Nancy Louise Hirsh, to
Lt. Nathaniel S. Rosengarten, son
of Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Rosengarten
of Newark, N. J., formerly of De-
troit. Lt. Rosengarten is sta-
tioned at Camp Lee, Virginia.

War Department as a prisoner of
the Japanese.
