A SSOVE R, the great Festival of Freedom, The earliest
forerunner fo the American Declaration of Independence,
again beckons us to have faith in the survival of our people's
most sacred traditions. On this Festival, "He brought us out

from slavery to freedom, from sadness to joy, from mourning
to festivity, from darkness to great light, from oppression
to deliverance." Passover, the greatest of our historical

festivals, the well-spring of our religious ideals and the starting
point of Israel's national life, admonishes all mankind in this
period of . war and strife that God's will is certain to prevail

and that deliverance is not far off for all humanity.
