Capt. Leo J. Croll is spending the week with his family in their
home on Fairfield Ave. Capt. Croll is on leave from his post at the
Ashford General Hospital, White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.
Major David A. Croll, who is on a 10-day leave from his post
1 with the Oxford Rifle Corps on the West Coast of Canada, is visiting
with Mrs. Croll and their daughters in Windsor.

Rabbi Leon Fram addressed a combined meeting of the Zionist
Districts of Cleveland on March 22. Last Monday night he addressed
the annual donor dinner of the Hadassah Society of Niagara Falls,
N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hamburger of Chicago Blvd. returned on
Thursday from Pittsburgh where they spent the last week visiting
with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kraft.
Abe Srere of Boston Blvd. and M. D. Wittelshofer of Boston
Blvd. are spending some time in Hot Springs, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Krouse of Normandy Ave. have returned
from a few weeks' stay in Florida.
A group of their friends dropped in on Mr. and Mrs. Philip
Brown of Wildemere Ave. last Saturday evening in celebration of
their 20th wedding anniversary.
Janet Laib returned to her studies at George School in Phila-
delphia last Sunday following a 10 days' vacation spent with her
mother, Mrs. Walter Laib of Strathcona Dr.

Mrs. Vass' son-in-law and daughter, Lt. and Mrs. Allan Tolmich. Lt.
Tolmich is stationed near Los Angeles. Another daughter, Mrs.
Wilbur Loewenberg, of Highland Ave.; is expected to return this
week-end after spending the last month in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Morton Helper and her small daughter, Ellen, who have
been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Helper of .Atkinson Ave.,
left on Tuesday for Miami Beach, Fla., to visit with Mrs. Helper's
mother, Mrs. Louis Gordon.
Mrs. Milton Strauss of the Chatham Apt. is visiting in New
York City.
Aubrey Brown of Cleveland spent the last week-end in Detroit
visiting with his family.

lege and is in the Army Medical
Corps. The bride is a graduate
of Wayne University and taught
at the Bishop School.
The couple will reside near
Fort Dix, New Jersey.

school with distinction, and now
has a position with the Board of
Education as secretary in the
Glandular Clinic. Cadet Shlain
is taking his training at the Uni-

Alexander Kipnis
Sings Here May 23

The world famous bass-bari-
tone, Alexander Kipnis, Metro-
politan Opera star, will be the
featured artist at the annual con-
cert of the Freiheit Gesangs Vere-
in, on May 23, at the Masonic
Temple.
The chorus of the organization,
numbering 75 voices, will sing
the oratorio "Judas Maccabeus"
by George Frederick Handel.
Mr. Kipnis will have the lead-
ing role in the oratorio and will
'sing two individual groups of
arias and other songs, in addition
to the coronation scene from the
opera Boris Godunoff, together
with the choir.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Baron of Tyler Ave. celebrated their 15th
wedding anniversary with a family party in their home last Satur-
, day evening. Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs.
