Unprecedented efforts to combat discrimination and the

Jewish community in support of the proposed American

president of the Detroit chapter of the American Jewish Con-
gress, at the annual meeting held March 17 at Shaarey Zedek.

will present "An Evening of Jew-
ish Music, Arts and Humor" in
the main auditorium of the Jew-
ish Community Center, Monday
at 8:30 p. m. It is open to the
public, Rudolph Meyersohn, pres-
ident, announced.
Harry Greenblatt, tenor, Sadie
Cooper, violinist, and Rebecca
Sidorsky, pianist, will be on the
program.
Aaron Rosenberg, past presi-
dent of the lodge, author of
"Tales Out of School," will speak
on Jewish humor. Rabbi Jacob
J. Nathan of Congregation Bnai
Moshe will speak.
Last Monday night, members of
the 85th anniversary class of
Pisgah Lodge decided to organ-
ize as a group to participate in
the membership campaign • to
honor Bnai Brith's Centennial

called for support in a drive to
enroll 300 members to meet the
quota set by District Grand
Lodge No. 6 for Pisgah Lodge.

for unity among all groups in

relieve the position of European
Jewry and to speed the up-

pledged the local chapter's
wholehearted cooperation in all
undertakings to assure decent
consideration of the status of our
people in the post-war world.
