ate work at Northwestern Uni-
versity before entering service
with the U. S. armed forces. Sgt.
Harris is now serving with the
Finance Department at Jackson
Barracks, New Orleans, La.

approaching marriage of Miss
Ruth Kogan to William Shinder-
man.
Pioneer Women Start
Drive for New Members
Mrs. Leah Kaufman of Cleve-
land addressed the Pioneer Wom-
en's Organization of Detroit, in-
augurating a membership drive.
Mrs. Kaufman is a leader in
Zionist and other community
movements in her city.
During her four-day stay here,
Mrs. Kaufman addressed the
seven clubs in Detroit and de-
scribed the activities of the
Working Women's Council of
Palestine. She reviewed the
work of the Child Rescue Fund
created by the Council as well as
its numerous other projects.
Pioneer Women's Club 1 has
elected Mrs. Sophie Sislin as a
delegate to the labor Zionist con-
vention to be held at Hotel Penn-
sylvania, New York, March 26-
28.
