Sam Osnos' Death Recalls
Rapid Business Success

Founder of Sam's Cut Rate, Inc., Started Here in 1917
with Tobacco Store; Remarkable Growth Admired
in Business Circles Throughout United States

Sam Osnos, founder of Sam's Cut Rate, Inc., a business
which he founded in 1917 in a 20-by-GO foot store on Ran-
dolph St. and which he saw expand into the largest cash-
and-carry store in the country, died Monday night in Harper
Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
