Laikins Announce Daughter's Betrothal

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald J. May of Wildemere Ave. have returned
from a 10-day trip to New York City.

Mrs. Monroe Rosenfield of the Belcrest Hotel and Dr. and
Mrs. George L. Waldbott of Huntington Woods are leaving this Fri-
day for Palm Beach, Fla.

Mrs. Arthur E. Fixel of East BoSton Blvd. is spending 10 days
in Jackson, Miss., visiting with relatives. She was accompanied by
her mother, Mrs. M. E. Pollock, who• will remain in Jackson for the
winter months.

Mr. and Mrs. Maier B. Finsterwald of Parkside Ave. have re-
turned from a week's visit in New York City.

Mr. and Mrs. Morton Ashner of Glynn Ct. have returned from a
two-weeks' trip to New York' City.

Mrs.DaVid Feerer and her daughter, Marjory, of the Belcrest
Hotel, are spending a few weeks in Hollywood, Fla.

Mrs. Herbert Holman of Chicago Blvd. is expected home this
week-end from Henderson, Ky., where she has been visiting with
her husband, Capt. Holman, who is stationed at Camp Beckenridge.

Mrs. Harry Rosman and her daughter, Gloria, of Boston Blvd.,
are spending a few days visiting with friends in Cleveland.

Paratrooper Marvin C. Greenbaum is returning this Friday to
his post at Fort Bragg, N. C., following a 15-day furlough spent with
his. parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Greenbaum of Cortland Ave.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Moss of Northlawn Ave. have returned
from a two-weeks' visit in New York City.

Isadore Fred spent a few days with his brother-in-law and sis-
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lieberman, of Birchcrest Dr., enroute from
New York City to his home in Waco ; Tex.

Miss Charlotte Greenwald has returned to her home in 'New
York -City following a month's visit with relatives and friends in
Detroit and in Pontiac.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leader of Sturtevant Ave. are spending a
few creeks in Hot Springs, Ark.

Pvt. and Mrs. Alexander Baruch have returned to Petersburg,
Va., following a few days' visit with Pvt. Baruch's mother, Mrs. J. B.
Baruch of W. Philadelphia Ave. Pvt. Baruch is stationed at Camp
Lee, where he is doing Technical Training Service at the Quarter-
master's Officers Candidate School.

Mrs. A. L. Weisman of Oakman Blvd. entertained a group of
her friends at a luncheon at her home on Saturday, Jan. 23.

spent the last eight months in study at the Illinois Eye and Ear
Infirmary in Chicago, and has completed a course in eye treatment
at the Chicago ,Children's Memorial Hospital.
