Drora Kadimah G r oup of
Pioneer Women's Organization,
at a meeting at the home of Mrs.
Jennie Malamud, heard a report
from Mrs. Rebecca Levin, chair-
man of the War Bond committee,
to the effect that $2,000 of Bonds
were sold last month. Enthusi-
astic reports were heard on the
recent donor luncheon, the suc-
cess of which will be celebrated
at the Book Casino Saturday.

Members were urged to partici-
pate actively in the donor lunch-
eon of the Jewish National Fund
Auxiliary. Drora Kadimah will
meet Monday evening at the
home of Mrs. E. Lipson of Pasa-
dena Ave.

Youth Education League, at its
meeting on Monday, at the home
of Mrs. Bernard Cohen, heard
the report that every member had
fulfilled her pledge to the Pledge
Fund Drive. Proceeds will be
used to continue the organiza-
tion's case and war work, Mrs.
Harry J. Millman, president, said.

The drive will conclude with
a luncheon and variety stage
show at the Fort Wayne Hotel
on Feb. 3. Mrs. Jesse Rosen is
arranging the entertainment. The
following committees were active
in the drive: Mrs. Robert Lewis-
ton, chairman; Mrs. Jesse Rosen,
musical director and producer of
Victory Varieties; Mrs. Harry
Spector, chairman of captains'
committee; captains, Mesdames
M. M. Burnstein, Philip Oland-

Sisters of Zion Mizrachi will
sponsor an Oneg Shabbath this
Saturday at Congregation Bnai
Moshe, Dexter and Lawrence, at
2 p. m. The guests of the senior
organization will be the Shifra
Chapter of Junior Mizrachi, who
will present a very entertaining
program. Miss Faye Stollman,
president of the group, daughter
of Rabbi Isaac Stollman, will
describe the organization's proj-
ects. Miss Rebecca Danzig,
daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Ab-
raham Danzig of Wyandotte, will
speak on Hamisha Asar b'Shevat.
Vocal palestinian selections will
be rendered by Miss Drora
Selesny, who will also lead the
gathering in community singing.
Refreshments will be served.

Jewish Women's European
Welfare Organization will hold
a special meeting Tuesday at the
Bnai Moshe, at 1 p. m., to hear
reports from the committee that
is investigating emergency relief
cases. Officers will be elected at
this meeting.

Bnai Brith Pisgah Auxiliary
No. 122 will be addressed on Mon-
day evening, at the Bnai Moshe,
by Miss Lelia McGuire, of the
staff of the Merrill Palmer
School, who is an authority on
nutrition. Miss McGuire will de-
scribe how people can be well
fed under a system of food ra-
tioning.

Congress Tea Jan. 29
To Honor the Dutch

The Detroit Women's Division
of the American Jewish Con-
gress will hold the fourth in its
series of rally teas at 1:30 p. m.
on Friday, Jan. 29, at the home
of Mrs. Sam Shore, 18111 Muir-
land.
The fund - raising campaign
will conclude with the Congress
tea party .on Wednesday, Feb.
10, at which all contributors will
be invited to attend a specially
prepared program.
Mrs. William Gottesman, pro-
gram chairman, announces that
the program at the fourth tea
next Friday will honor Holland
and the Dutch people. Mrs. Abe
Katzman will give an historical
sketch of the Dutch and Mrs.
Perry P. Bernstine will speak on
a phase of Congress activities.
Members are urged to bring their
friends and all those interested
in Congress activities to these
teas.
Women have been asked to buy
their War Savings Stamps and
Bonds from Mrs. S. A. Singer,
chairman of the defense com-
mittee.

Purity Chapter 359, O.E.S.,
will sponsor a Valentine card
party Feb. 15 at Eastern Star
Temple, 80 W. Alexandrine. Pro-
ceeds will be used to provide
gifts for men in the service.
There will be refreshments and
prizes. Reservations are being

War Veterans' Post No. 135 will
have a membership tea at 1:30
p. m. Tuesday at the Bnai Moshe,
in honor of President Roosevelt's

will be provided by the Glee
Club. Mrs. Edith Meskin is chair-
man of the committee arrang-
ing the tea. Relatives of World
War 1 veterans are invited.

Lucille Gillman of Los Angeles
to Lieut. Maurice A. Rice was
solemnized at the home of the
groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Emanuel Rice of 4325 Leslie
Ave., Dec. 29. Rabbi Adler of-
ficiated. Mrs. Milt London played
the Wedding March from Lohen-
grin and other selections on the
harp. Eugene Rice served his
brother as best man. The bride
was given away by her uncle,
Abraham Epstein, of Toledo. A
reception and dinner followed
for the immediate family.

Lieut. Rice was graduated
from Wayne and Ohio State
Universities. Miss Gillman is a
graduate of the Los Angeles
