morning, Jan. 13, at 11 o'clock.

icated in the leading newspapers
in the country.

of the outstanding world Jewish
figures, died suddenly in Jerusa-
lem after a short illness. The
distinguished agronomist and
scholar was 67.
CLASSIFIED
All of Palestine Jewry, recall-
ing the extraordinary contribu-
tion which he had made to the
modern rebuilding of the Jewish
National Home, was plunged into
grief by the news of Dr. Ruppin's
passing.
Representatives of the national
and central institutions began
gathering around his deathbed
immediately word spread that
the Jewish leader had passed
away. Leaders of the Jewish set-
tlements hastened to Jerusalem
to pay their last respects.
The War Prisoners Aid Com-
mittee, organized several weeks
ago under the auspices of the
American Federation for Polish
Jews, announces that with the
aid of Detroit merchants 95
packages have gone out this

age of tobacco, two bars of soap,
a handkerchief, a package of tea,
