More than 800 servicemen
were guests at a dinner -party
arranged in their honor by
Alfred Epstein of the Pfeiffer
Brewing Co., at the Book Cad-
illac Hotel, on Friday evening,
Dec. 25.
Originally, 300 servicemen and
150 hostesses were invited to the
party. Bob Hall, who was toast-
master, reported later that by
actual count there were twice as
many present as the party was
planned for.
Irving Berlin was a guest at
this party, which was marked by
an interesting program of enter-
tainment.
