Jewish Youth's

LISTENING
POST

By DANNY RASKIN

Here is a question which many
boys in service have been asking
us. "Why is there less mail from
home?" Almost every service-
man who writes to us expresses
his appreciation for anything
postmarked Detroit. It seems odd
that friends of our fighting men
are not corresponding, when let-
ters from home add so much to
their morale uplift. Why can't
at least one night a week be set
aside for the sole purpose of
writing to the bays? Instead of
telling each other what a great
job they're doing and how proud
you are of them, why not put
your feelings down on paper and
let the ones you're talking about
know it too? Now that gas ra-
tioning is here, and more time
will be spent at home, maybe
a few minutes can be spared to
write to the fellows who have
given up the pleasures we enjoy
and are risking their lives for us.
