KUIBYSHEV (JPS) — Alexan-

tion of new dwelling places for
which the war has created an
urgent demand. Before the war,
Larin supervised the construction
of munitions factories.
Another Jewish engineer, Boris
Zalzberg, has been praised highly
for the accomplishment of a re-
markable transfer eastwards of
Russian war factories which were
attacked. Zalzberg worked under
a hail of German bombs, but suc-
ceeded in removing everything
from the factories. Later he re-
constructed the factories in an-
other Russian city, where they
are producing arms ahead of
schedule.
Biro-Bidjan, Jewish territory,
is lauded by the Soviet press as
the first province to fulfill the
winter quota, thereby winning
the . all-Russian ploughing contest.
