Dr. Franklin to Speak Nov. 16

Next Monday night, Pisgah
Lodge will present a night of
movies in the main auditorium of
the Jewish Center. The latest war
films and other films of interest
to men will be shown, according
to Max Blumenthal, chairman of
the entertainment committee, as
part of Pisgah's 85th anniversary
Jubilee program.
On Nov. 16, Pisgah Lodge will
hold its first open meeting of the
season as a past-president's night.
This meeting will be addressed
by Dr. Leo M. Franklin, honor-
ary past-president of Pisgah
Lodge. There will be a musical
program.

Grand Rapids Zionist District at
Temple Emanuel, at 8:15 P. M.
on Nov. 15.

dress Rallies in Interests of
Palestine Colony

At a rally of members and
friends of the DetrOit branches of
the Jewish National Workers' Al-
liance, held Wednesday evening
at the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg.,
arrangements were completed for
the concert by the famous violin-
ist, Bronislaw Huberman, and De-
troit's popular soprano, Emma
Shever, which will take place
Sunday evening, Nov. 29, at the
Masonic Temple.
Proceeds of the concert will go
for the Farband Colony in Pales-
tine.
Rabbi Morris Adler was the
guest speaker at Wednesday's
rally.
A week ago Wednesday, Rabbi
Leon Fram addressed the cultural
meeting of Arlazaroff branch of
the Farband.
