THE U. J. A. ON THE RESCUE FRONT

With the Aid of the Allied Jewish Campaign, Through the W ar Chest

IN EUROPE, ELSEWHERE •

J. D. C. is rescuing youngsters like those at left whose par-
ents have been deported from France, bringing them to new
hOmes in the U. S. In many neutral countries and in Russia,
the J. D. C. is carrying on large-scale relief activities. Many
are fed as in photo below. J. D. C. is helping 928,000 persons
annually, including refugees in Latin-American countries.

IN PALESTINE—

Through the U. P. A. Palestine's 584,000 Jews•are being helped
to mobilize for an all-out war effort for democracy. New
settlements like the one at right raise food for the armies,
provide homes for newcomers. Thousands of men and women
(below) are serving in the British armies in North Africa.

IN THE UNITED STATES—

Refugees who have found haven in our own country are being
retrained by the N. R. S. for work in war industries short of
manpower. (See picture at left). Financial assistance, re-
settlement and Americanization activities speedily integrate
the newcomers. Children (below) are enabled to enjoy the
blessings of freedom.
