CORNER UHS Membership Goal Set
Dear Boys and Girls:
Again, I wish you a pleasant
festival.
I know what happiness Shn-
hath Torah will bring you this
Saturday night a n d, Sunday
morning, when you should at--
tend services and Rejoice in the
Torah.
With the holidays coming to a
close, you will now have to de-

your studies. Both in the public
at 500 as Tribute on His
50th Birthday
The United Hebrew- Schools of
Detroit have accorded Aaron
Silberblatt, chairman of the 1942
membership enrollment commit-

of his 50th birthday, which he
schools and the Hebrew and Sun-
day schools, you should make
good records for yourselves.
Also, you should not forget
that we are in a terrible war and
that unless we win, millions of
people will remain slaves under
Hitler and our own freedom will
be in danger. Therefore, we
must buy War Bonds and Stamps;
we must help the unfortunates
through the War Chest, which in-
cludes all Jewish causes; we
must be helpful in every possible
way so that our efforts shall
not be wasted in the wrong
channels.
Because we all pray and hope
for peace, I greet you in the
traditional Jewish way with the
word for peace:

Are you one of those unfortunate beings who
operate at half efficiency all winter because
your head is stuffed up with a cold, your chest
is wracked with a cough, and your vitality is
mostly gone? Do you look forward to the
coming of fall and winter with fear because you
know that one cold will hardly dry up before
another starts? Are you so nervous about
catching one of those colds that you make
yourself a nuisance and bother to you friends
and family by your health-protective habits?
Are You going to go through another winter
like that or are you really going to do some-
thing about it this year?
What can you do? You can go see your doctor
NOW. You can begin some form of immunity
treatment NOW. When the sloppy, cold weather
of winter comes the chances are in your favor
that you won't get a cold, or if you do contract
one it will be mild. This is one time it pays to
play percentages.
You are an important person today. If you
lose time from war work this winter it may
mean that too little will get there too late. Your
sneeze and your dripping nose may indirectly
be the death of one of our lads. Do something!
Sam's are doing something. Through large
scale buying Sam's are able to fill cold
immunity prescriptions at prices as low, and
in many cases lower, than any time in our
history. See your doctor—today.
