Young Israel Has Given Its Members
Generously to Fight for Freedom

membership of Detroit Young
Israel is now engaged in
active military service, according
to an announcement by Morris H.
Berris, chairman of the organi-

zation's committee on war ac-
tivities. At the 30th national
convention of Young Israel, held
in Atlantic City last June, it was
revealed that more than 700 men
in the movement were in service
at that time.
The latest addition to the ranks
of local Young Israelites in the
armed forces of the United States
includes:
Pvt. Harry Blitz, Company I,
5th Regiment, Q.M.R.T.C. Harry
is ex-treasurer of the local
branch and has been actively id-
entified with the movement for
a number of years. His wife, the
former Rose Bodzin, has been sec-
retary for several terms.
