25, in-. King City, Calif.

Seskin-Geschelin—At noon on
Sunday, Aug. 30, Rabbi Leon M.
Frain will perform the ceremony
which will unite in marriage
Miss Muliel Geschelin, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs:, Joseph Ges-
chelin, and Alexander Seskin,
son of Adolph Seskin. The wed-
ding, which will be held at the
Geschelin home at 1460 Edison
Ave., will be attended only by
the families. Audrey Geschelin
will be her sister's maid of honor
and the groom's brother, Jack
Seskin, will serve as best man.
After a brief honeymoon, the
young couple will reside at 950
Whitmore Road.

Grossman - Gerson — Mr. and
Mrs. Alex H. Gerson announce
the marriage on Aug. 20, of their
daughter, Mildred, to Lewis San-
ford Grossman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel Grossman of Mus-
kegon, Mich. The ceremony took
place at the Wilshire Hotel with
Dr. A. M. Hershman officiating.
The bride is a graduate of the
University of. Michigan and the
groom is a graduate of the Uni-
versity of Chicago where he was
a member of Phi Sigma Delta
Social Fraternity and also Phi
Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Sisterhood Dancing
Classes Open Oct. 18

The Sisterhood of Temple Beth
El again will sponsor a class in
ballroom dancing, this year un-
der the direction of Miss Olga
Fricker and her assistants.
The class will meet on Sun_
days, 3 to 4 p.m., for 10 weeks,
from Oct. 18 to Dec. 20. Enroll-
ment is open to girls 12 and 13
years old and to boys 12 to 14
years old.
The fee is $5 for 10 lessons
for children of Temple and Sis-
terhood members, and $6 for chil-
dren of non-members. Since the
size of the class is limited, it is
advisable to register the children
early.
Reservation, accompanied by a
check, may be mailed to Mrs.
Alfred Dreifus, 18647 Birchcrest
Drive. Mrs. William Field heads
the dancing class committee.

ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Mrs. Joshua Sarasohn off Atkinson Ave., Mrs. J. Shurly Hor-
witz of Atkinson Ave. and Miss Lucile Mintz of Chicago Blvd. re-
turned on Aug. 22 from a week in New York City.



Mrs. Otto Weiss of Broadstreet Ave. and Mrs. Sydney Berke
and her daughter, Johanna, of the Whittier Hotel have returned
from Algonquin Park, Canada, where they visited with their sans,
Joseph Weiss and Joseph Berke, at Camp Tamakwa. Dr. Weiss has
returned from a fishing trip in Waupaca, Wis.



Enroute to her home in Waco, Tex., from Old Orchard, Me.,
where she had spent the summer, Mrs. Louis Fred spent a few days
in Detroit, visiting with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lieber-
man of Birchcrest Dr.



Ralph Helper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Helper, of Atkinson
Ave. has been commissioned as ensign and is leaving on Sunday,
Aug. 30, for the officers' training school in Noroton Heights, Conn.



Mr. and Mrs. Mark Alpern and their daughter, Barbara, of Mt.
Clemens and Mr. and Mrs. Max Weinberg and their daughters,
Laura Ann and Marie, of Warrington Rd. left on Sunday, Aug. 23,
to spend a week in New York City.



Mr. and Mrs. Sol S. Vineberg of Virginia Park have as their
guest their daughter, Mrs. Frank D. Reed, Jr., of Houston, Tex. An-
other daughter, Mrs. J. D. Sheftel, and her small son, Lyle, returned
to their home in Denver, Colo., after an extended visit.



Dr. and Mrs. Emil Rothman of Glastonbury Ave. and Dr. and
Mrs. Edward J. Levitt of Muirland Ave. have returned from a short
trip to Algonquin Park, Canada.



Mrs. Hyman Winkelman and her son, Robert, returned Aug.
22, to their home in Chicago, following a visit with Mr. and Mrs.
Isadore Winkelman of Renfrew Rd.



Mr. and Mrs. Egon Benesi of Seward Ave. will return this
week-end from a two weeks' trip to New York City and the New
England States.



Mr. and Mrs. Milton J. Saffir of Cortland Ave. left on Sunday,
Aug. 23, for Denver, Colo., where they will visit Mrs. Saffir's parents.



Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Rosenblum and young son of Chicago
Blvd. have returned from a visit with their mother, Mrs. Henry
Rosenblum, in Gladstone, Mich.



Mrs. I. Gallow of Calvert Ave. returned on Sunday, Aug. 23,
from a 10-day stay at the Colonial Hotel in Mt. Clemens.



Dr. and Mrs. Seymour Lipsitt have moved from the Lee Plaza
Apt. and are now residing at 2725 Boston Blvd.



Mr. and Mrs. Moe Leiter and their daughter, Sylvia, of Chicago
Blvd. will return on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from a 10-day stay at the
Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago.



Mr. and Mrs. Harold Trunsky of Greenlawn Ave. returned last
week from Algonquin Park, Canada, where they visited their son,
Ronnie, at Camp Tamakwa.

Marguerite Kozenn, operatic soprano, appeared as soloist with
the Michigan Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Valter
Poole in the Greek Theater in Cranbrook on Wednesday, Aug. 26,
and on the campus of the Grosse Pointe High School on Thursday,
Aug. 27.

Dr. and Mrs. Saul Cole, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cosky, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Jacobson and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schwartz have returned
from their vacation at Lakeside Rancho in the Upper Michigan
