The Jewish community of Pon -
tiac has organized a Zionist Dis-
trict and has launched a drive
for members in the Zionist Or-
ganization of America under the
direction of Jacob Meyer.
More than 75 members have
already been enrolled and an
additional 25 affiliates are
sought before the end of this
month in order to entitle the
Pontiac community to two dele-
gates to the national convention.
At a meeting at Temple Beth
Jacob last week, the following
officers were elected: President,
Jacob
Meyer;
vice-president,
Morris Blumeno; treasurer, Ju-
lian Levine; secretary, Dr. Eliot
A. Magidsohn.
