Mr. Szyk presented the work to the committee, and -it now hangs in the national offices at 535 Fifth Ave., New York. Mr. Szyk declared the painting was a symbol of "physical resis- tance." It depicts the defense of the colony of Tel Hai in Pales- tine. The central figure is Captain Joseph Trumpedor, who died from wounds received during the battle with the Arab marauders. Cap- tain Trumpeldor was one of the founders of the Zion Mule Corps which fought bravely at Gallipoli in the last war, then helped incor- porate them into the Jewish Le- gions which fought in Palestine under the personal command of Colonel John H. Patterson, D.S.0_, now an honorary chairman of the Committee for a Jewish Army. STREICHER'S OCCUPATION Julius Streicher woke up one night in a cold sweat and began to scream violently.
