NEW YORK—Trained under
an American staff in the Hadas-
sah Training School in Jerusalem
during the first World war, Miss
Judith Alkaly of this city, who
was born in Palestine, will give
her services in this war to the
United States Army. Accepted
by the New York Hospital Med-
ical Unit of the Ninth General
Hospital, U. S. Army, she is
awaiting an army order to go to
a training camp prior to service
in a theater of war.
Miss Alkaly graduated with
the first class of the Hadassah
Nurses Training School in her
native city of Jerusalem in 1921.
Her father comes of a Jewish
family that emigrated from Spain
to Palestine 200 years ago. Her
parents and two sisters live in
Jerusalem.
