SUMMER ACTIVITIES AMONG WOMEN'S CLUB

ZEDAKAH APPROPRIATES
$1,050 FOR WAR WORK
At a special meeting of Zed-
akah Club at the home of Mrs.
David Trager, $550 was voted to
furnish two "Day Rooms" at
Sault Ste. Marie for recreation
activities. At present, 131st In-
fantry is stationed there. Zedakah
Club also donated $500 for Army
and Navy Relief Work. Mrs.
Maurice Cornfield is chairman of
Zedakah's U.S.O. Committee.

North Woodward branch of the
Jewish Women's European Wel-
fare Organization will be held

The Detroit Auxiliary of the
Molly Segal of the Denver Jew-
ish Consumption Relief Society is
nearing the $1,500 mark in con-
tributions to the Jewish Con-
sumption Relief Hospital in Den-
ver, according to Mrs. Paul
Shapiro of 4834 Cortland Ave.,
delegate to the convention last
month. This figure, so far,. tops
the 1941 total by almost $600.
The hospital has netted through-
out the country the sum of
$77,000, compared with $65,000 in
