INSTALLATION JUNE 24

Ladies' Auxiliary of Aescula-
pian Pharmaceutical Fraternity
will hold formal installation of
officers at Huyler's in the Fish-
er Building on Wednesday, June
24, at 12:30, for paid-up mem-
bers. Reservations are being tak-
en by Mrs. R. W. Klein, Un.

ment committee headed by Mrs.
Harry Pernick.
The entertainment committee
is planning an outing for July.
The organization contributed
funds for entertainment for the
boys at Camp. Custer through the
Service Fund.

IN WAR AID

The Home Relief Society closed
the season with a board meeting,
June 12, at the home of Mrs.
Charles Bassey on Glendale Ave.
The board of directors voted
to contribute $250 to Russian War
Relief, $100 to Chinese War Re-
lief, and $25 to Navy Relief.
Cookies are being sent to the
Red Cross Hospital at Fort Custer
each month. Aug. 16 is Home
Relief Day at Fort Custer Snack

INSTALLS OFFICERS

Sigma Theta Delta sorority of
Wayne University installed new
officers at a formal dinner party
June 17, at the Tropics. Officers
were installed by Pera Shapiro,
r etiring president, now vice-pres-
ident of the Literati Club at
Wayne University.
The new officers are Presi-
dent, Nettie Seligson, who is also
president of Literati Club; vice-
president, Frances Wruble; re -
cording secretary, Helen Yosko-
witz; corresponding secretary,
Gertrude Weinstein; treasurer,
Dorothy Menenberg; inter-soror-
ity council representative, Sarah
Perlmutter.
Six new members were form-
ally initiated: Helen Cooper,
Sarah Dobrowitch, Shirley Hirsh.
Sylvia King, Reva Romer, and
Elaine Nagler. Elaine Nagler re-
ceived the award presented tra-
ditionally to the outstanding new
member.
Keys were presented to five
graduated members: Jewel Klein,
Charlotte Pearlstein, Marian
Goodman, Evelyn Pearlman, and
Fran Ross.

COMING MARRIAGE

Of interest to Detroiters is the
announcement of the approaching
marriage of Miss Jeannette Klein,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Klein of Cleveland, formerly of
Detroit, to Dr. Claudio Gerbi, of
New York, formerly of Milan,
Italy. Dr. Gerbi is the son of
M. Gerbi of Lima, Peru. The wed-
ding will take place June 21 in
Cleveland. Rabbi Barnett Brick-
ner will officiate. -
Miss Klein is a graduate of
Western Reserve University and
attained the distinction of being
the youngest person to teach in
the High Schools in Cleveland.
Dr. Gerbi was a director of med-
ical reserach in Western Reserve
University and is now an in-
structor at Columbia University.
