May 17. He was graduated from
McKenzie High School, where he
made the National Honor Society,
and was four years at Wayne
University. He is 22 years old. A
brother, Harry, is a student at
Wayne, and another brother,
Louis, is attending McKenzie
high.

Pvt. Phillip Kaplan, 22 years
old, of 2256 Clements Ave., is on
active service with the Air Corps
in Australia. He is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ben ! T
Kaplan and
brother of Leo
and Charles
Kaplan. He was
active in A.Z.A.
sports, and at
the time of his
enlistment as a
mechanic last
January, wtis ac-
cepted despite a
knee injury suffered while play-
ing football. After about a month
at Keesler Field, Miss., he was
transferred to San Francisco, and
from there, overseas. He was a
student in the Central High night
school, and served as master of
ceremonies for the annual A.Z.A.
spring dance.
