LOS ANGELES (JPS) — Joe Weber, the other half of the up- roariously funny burlesque team of another era, Joe Weber and Lew Fields, died here at the age of 74. Both Jews, Weber died ten months after his life-long partner, who passed away last July. In more than fifty years of en- tertainment, Weber and Fields won acclaim as an exceptionally, funny Dutch comedian team. Weber and Fields were the first comedians to burlesque cur- rent stage hits.
