Hadassah to Elect
Officers Tuesday

Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
will hold its annual election of
officers Tuesday, May 12, at 2
o'clock, in the social hall of the
Shaarey Zedek. A dessert lunch-
eon will precede the meeting.
Rebecca Sidorsky, Juillard
Graduate school fellowship pian-
ist, will provide the program for
the afternoon.
Movies taken by Mrs. Ralph
Schiller at previous Hadassah
meetings will be shown. Mrs. To-
bias Garon and Mrs. Moe Perlis
are co-chairmen of the social
committee.

Women Trained
To Aid Hostesses

A group of women recently
has completed a course of train-
ing equipping them to act as
hostess' assistants. They are
ready to go out into the com-
munity to serve at home func-
tions, such as teas, luncheons, re-
ceptions and cocktail parties.
The training course was given
by the Home Economics commit-
tee of the Jewish Community
Center in conjunction with the
Resettlement Service.
Those interested in obtaining
this type of service are requested
to call Miss Hersh at the Jew-
ish Vocational Service, TRinity
2-4080.

Organizations will hold its last
meeting of the season Tuesday,
May 19, at 2 p. m. in the Social
Hall of the Shaarey Zedek. An-
nual reports will be given, and
officers will be elected.
The program arranged by Miss
Setta Robinson, will include a
comedy, "Thursday at Home, -
to be presented by the Dramatic
Department of the Music Study
Club.
Mrs. Louis James Rosenberg,
president, urges all women who
are members of affiliated organ-
izations to attend this meeting.

ZEDASAH CLUB
The Zedakah Club will meet at
the home of Mrs. Louis Ger-
mansky, 18659 Pennington Drive,
Monday, May 11, at 8:30 p. m. --
The nominating committee will
present a slate of officers, rec-
ommended for the coming year.
